MPs discuss the impact of A Mile in My Shoes at Parliament

from the 31st of October to the 3rd of November the health foundation and empathy Museum are exhibiting their immersive experience a mile in my shoes at the houses of Parliament it was a really powerful experience to walk in somebody else's shoes my particular pair of shoes belonged to a young general practitioner and she spoke about her life she spoke about the pressures that obviously we all know are bearing down on GPS but what came through was a vibrancy and a love of profession I was um very grateful to be allowed to walk a mile in s's shoes what I was reminded of is how people's own Human Experience and their own life experience comes through into the way that they practice clinically So I listened to the Midwife she talked about the warmth and the real love of her job and it's reminded me that I need to remember I've had three children and remember the three midwives that did make it such a valuable experience for me a good reminder and a lovely story to find out more about a mile in my shoes please visit health.org ailein my shoes
