The Nike Air Trainer 1 “Chlorophyll” Releases Tomorrow

Thirty-five years after its inception, the Air Trainer 1 is getting some proper due from the brand. Not to say that Nike hasn’t re-released this Tinker Hatfield classic in the past, but it’s officially part of the conversation as Nike recognized its importance through a special SNKRS Live episode on May 12th.

After an earlier release overseas, the Air Trainer 1 “Chlorophyll” is ready to land at US retailers on May 20th. It captures the exact same color-blocking as the original, with materials reflecting the source of the time. The distinct shade of green pops like no other as it appears on the NIKE on the forefoot strap, the eyelets, the heel branding and the interior. Some Air Trainer 1 fans might still have these in rotation; these re-issued ten years ago in 2012, and even appeared in SB format in 2020.

These might be your last chance at the Air Trainer 1 “Chlorophyll” in a while, so check out the store list ahead and prepare for the SNKRS release at 10am ET (sizes 6M-15M).
